I'm on somewhat of a Lovecraftian kick right now. I recently read Laird Barron's The Croning, (fantastic!), and The Dunfield Terror by William Meikle, (also fantastic!) and now I'm reading Red Equinox by Douglas Wynne. (So far, so good.)
A few of us that read The Croning together over in the Horror Aficionados group at Goodreads decided to keep the Laird Barron vibe going and tackle The Imago Sequence. It's our understanding that these short stories are interconnected with some of his other stories, including The Croning.
We've decided to tackle just one story per week and the first one? Old Virginia? Knocked my socks off and it was all I could do to hold onto my mind. Because it was blown.
This is going to be a good time. Please, anyone interested, feel free to join us over at GR!
