I was provided an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review. Here it is.
Wow! This novelette was a howling bitch of a story! Juliet and Colton's marriage is on the rocks. Colton has strayed and he is giving Juliet a ride to her mom's so she can have some time to think things over. It's a bit of a trip and it's punctuated by long uncomfortable silences between them.
Then the proverbial shit hits the fan. They're involved in an horrific accident and unfortunately, that's the BEST thing that happens to either one of them. It's all way downhill from there...and I mean downhill like an Olympic Ski Jump downhill.
This was an excellent horrific tale featuring a strong woman that I really liked. Juliet takes no crap from anyone and maybe not even from the devil himself. Even with all she goes through she is still cracking jokes in her head. Juliet, you go, girl!
Edward Lorn? You go too! Awesome story, my friend. Highly recommended for fans of short horror tales!
